The “Masam” project, dedicated to landmine removal in Yemen, recently conducted its third destruction operation in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate. This initiative successfully eliminated 1,531 pieces of landmines and unexploded ordnance.
According to the project’s media center, emergency teams from “Masam” collaborated with the Executive Center for Mine Action in Mukalla to carry out this operation. The media center stated, “This operation is part of the ongoing efforts in Mukalla to clear the area of landmines and war remnants of all types. Our goal is to ensure the safety of the city’s residents and provide maximum security for all civilian sites and access roads.”

With this latest operation, the total number of destroyed landmines, explosive devices, and unexploded ordnance in Mukalla has now reached 7,921 since January 17.
