In a statement released by the office of the Governor of Hadhramaut Province, Mabkhout bin Madi, an official source highlighted the outcomes of a comprehensive meeting between the political parties and components of the province and His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council member Sheikh Osman Majali. The local authority leadership expressed its high appreciation for the presidential efforts aimed at unifying the ranks and mobilizing all energies to serve Hadhramaut, enhancing its stability, development, and improving the living and service conditions for all its citizens.
The local authority also affirmed its full understanding of the legitimate demands advocated by the political components in the province. It declared its readiness to work together to achieve these demands in cooperation with the state’s higher authorities, especially concerning improving the electric power supplies, enabling the people of Hadhramaut to manage their local affairs, ensuring fair participation in decision-making, and any forthcoming negotiations about the country’s future.
Furthermore, the source announced the governorate leadership’s openness to further communication with various components to formulate a joint plan concerning the priorities of the current phase and the requirements for its implementation.
This announcement underscores the local government’s commitment to addressing the needs and aspirations of Hadhramaut’s residents, signifying a step towards greater autonomy and participation in the governance of their affairs.
