Dr. Al Hassan Taher, the Governor of Al Hudaydah, met today with representatives from humanitarian organizations to discuss urgent humanitarian interventions for displaced residents of the governorate. This meeting comes in response to the escalation of violence by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.
During the meeting, which included several directors of general directorates and relevant executive offices, participants reviewed the humanitarian interventions implemented in recent months. They highlighted the main obstacles facing field operations and explored ways to address these challenges. The discussion also prioritized the needs of displaced individuals in areas such as shelter, food, health, and education.
Governor Taher emphasized the need to intensify interventions and double efforts for a swift response. He called for improved coordination and integration among humanitarian partners to reach all displaced families and alleviate their suffering. He also praised the efforts of local authorities in the governorates of Aden, Lahij, and Abyan for their support and hospitality towards the displaced population.
