The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s “Masam” project, dedicated to clearing Yemeni lands of mines, successfully removed 1,390 mines planted by the Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, in the fourth week of July 2024 across several provinces.
In a statement, the Center detailed that the cleared mines included 5 anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 1,337 unexploded ordnances, and one explosive device. This brings the total number of mines cleared in July to 4,230.
The statement also highlighted that since the inception of the “Masam” project, a total of 453,298 mines have been removed. These mines were randomly planted across various provinces, aiming to claim more innocent victims, including children, women, and the elderly.
