Yemen’s Ambassador to Germany, Louay Al-Iryani, met today with Dr. Ole Diehl, Vice President of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). They discussed the current developments in Yemen, particularly the escalation of threats posed by the Houthi militia. This situation represents a significant danger to international maritime security, the global economy, and energy security.
Ambassador Al-Iryani emphasized that the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, conducted by the armed forces, is essential to eliminate the threat posed by the Houthi militia to Yemen, the region, and the world. He stated that this operation adheres to both national and international laws and complies with their provisions.
In response, Dr. Diehl expressed his interest in the developments in Yemen. He highlighted his commitment to raising awareness about the Yemeni issue in Germany, particularly regarding the implications of the Houthi escalation on regional and international security.
