Yemeni President Returns to Aden Amidst Regional Consultations

Aden Welcomes Back Leadership

In a significant move, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, returned to the temporary capital, Aden, on Saturday. His return from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marks the end of a series of pivotal meetings with regional and international stakeholders. These discussions focused on the evolving situation in Yemen, regional developments, and the essential support needed for the government and state institutions to meet their service and livelihood commitments. This comes at a time when the humanitarian crisis in Yemen has deepened, exacerbated by terrorist attacks by Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes, supported by the Iranian regime.

Inspection Visit to Hadramout

Prior to his return, President Al-Alimi, accompanied by council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Osman Majali, along with several state officials, conducted an inspection visit to the Hadramout province. They reviewed the local conditions, appreciating the commendable efforts of the local authority and national components across various levels to address the ongoing challenges.

Emphasis on Unity and Cooperation

Upon his arrival in Aden, President Al-Alimi underscored the importance of unity and teamwork, especially under the current extraordinary circumstances. Yemen faces unprecedented challenges, including economic and financial issues, and relentless attempts by terrorist organizations and militias to destabilize the liberated provinces. In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), he highlighted the critical need for cohesive efforts to confront these challenges head-on.

Appreciation for Regional Support

In this context, President Al-Alimi expressed profound gratitude towards the brothers in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He praised their honorable brotherly stances aimed at restoring state institutions, ensuring their coherence, and fulfilling the Yemeni people’s aspirations for peace, stability, and development.

This development signifies a crucial phase in Yemen’s journey towards stability and prosperity, highlighting the ongoing regional and international efforts to support the country during these turbulent times.
