President Rashad Alimi Meets UK Ambassador to Yemen

On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif. This meeting highlighted the importance of bilateral relations and addressed pressing national and regional issues.

Discussing Bilateral Relations and Regional Security

During their discussion, President Alimi and Ambassador Sharif explored the ongoing threats posed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias to international peace and security. The conversation underscored the need for a united front against these challenges, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between Yemen and the UK.

Ambassador Sharif presented indicators of a coordinated British plan aimed at rallying international support to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
