Deputy Foreign Minister discusses enhancing cooperation between the National Refugee Affairs Committee and the UNHCR.

Aden, Yemen – Today, Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriate Affairs Mustafa Noman met with Mohammed Rafiq Nasri, the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Aden. The meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in the temporary capital, Aden, and focused on enhancing collaboration between the National Committee for Refugee Affairs and the UNHCR.

Importance of the National Committee for Refugee Affairs

During the meeting, Noman emphasized the critical role of the National Committee for Refugee Affairs. He highlighted its importance in coordinating government efforts to address the issues of displacement and asylum in Yemen. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to managing refugee affairs more effectively.

Noman stressed the need for stronger cooperation between relevant government entities and the UNHCR.
