Marib, Yemen – Today, Sultan Al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, chaired a meeting of the Military Security Committee in Marib. The meeting included the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, and focused on the latest developments in security and military conditions.
The meeting began with a moment of silence for the martyrs who lost their lives due to the escalation of Houthi militia attacks. These assaults, supported by the Iranian regime, involved ballistic missiles and drones targeting military camps in Marib and Hadramout, as well as various fronts. The attacks also affected displaced persons’ camps and residential neighborhoods in Marib city.
Participants reviewed the current military landscape, including security conditions, combat readiness, and coordination among military units and security agencies. They discussed strategies to enhance deployment, maintain vigilance, and implement measures to respond swiftly to any threats.
The meeting underscored the importance of increasing readiness and vigilance. Participants stressed the need for responsible and disciplined responses to emerging situations. They called for intensified efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and to address any actions that could disrupt public order and stability.
The committee praised the role of the Saudi-led Coalition in supporting legitimate governance in Yemen. They acknowledged the coalition’s contributions to strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces and security agencies. The meeting appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continuous support for the Yemeni people and its commitment to standing by the legitimate government in various circumstances.
The committee urged citizens in Marib to remain vigilant and cooperate with security and military forces. They encouraged reporting any suspicious activities or movements to enhance community safety.
Sultan Al-Arada and committee members commended the awareness and community responsibility demonstrated by the residents of Marib during these challenging times. They praised the cooperation between citizens and military and security forces in maintaining public order and stability in the province.
Al-Arada affirmed that the front remains united and cohesive. He emphasized that the armed forces and security agencies stand together against the Houthi militia, supported by the Iranian regime. He called for increased efforts to strengthen unity, enhance coordination, and ensure readiness among various units and institutions to tackle current challenges.
