In Taiz, armed forces engage in clashes and conduct targeted operations against Houthi militia across multiple fronts.

Intense Clashes Erupt in Taiz as Armed Forces Target Houthi Militias

On Saturday, the Taiz Military Axis reported fierce clashes between armed forces and Houthi militias across various battlefronts in the province. This escalation coincided with the execution of targeted military operations along the front lines.

Military Operations and Artillery Strikes

According to a statement released by the military axis through its media center, the armed forces’ artillery launched strikes against Houthi positions in the al-Dabab and Gharab fronts west of the city. Additional strikes occurred in the al-Salu area, located south of the province, as well as in the Maqbana front in the western countryside. These actions served as a response to Houthi shelling that targeted military positions.

Defense Against Drone Attacks

The statement further detailed that the armed forces’ defenses successfully intercepted Houthi drones in the Maqbana front. Additionally, reconnaissance teams observed the launch of Houthi missiles from Jabal Oman in the al-Hawban area, located east of Taiz, aimed toward the Red Sea.

Major Military Operation Launched

Earlier in the day, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the armed forces, confirmed that troops executed a wide-ranging military operation at dawn. This operation targeted Houthi militia positions and capabilities, which receive support from the Iranian regime, across multiple fronts along the contact lines.

Conclusion

The ongoing conflict in Taiz highlights the persistent tensions between the armed forces and Houthi militias. As military operations continue, the situation remains fluid, with both sides engaging in strategic maneuvers to gain the upper hand.
