Leadership Discusses Security and Oil Supply in Hadhramaut

Meeting with Defense Official

Today, Salim Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramaut, met with Major General Mohammed Salmeen Batiss, the Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources. They discussed the current situation in the province and the implementation of plans to strengthen security and military forces.

Reorganization of Elite Forces

The meeting highlighted the ongoing reorganization of the Hadhrami Elite Forces. These forces will return to their previous positions along the coastal districts of Hadhramaut. Meanwhile, the National Shield Forces will manage deployments in the valley and desert areas. This strategic distribution aims to enhance security and stability across the region.

Coordination Between Military Regions

Both Al-Khanbashi and Batiss emphasized the importance of coordination between the first and second military regions. They agreed on the need to unify efforts to serve the province’s interests. This collaboration will bolster the readiness of security and military agencies to face various challenges and maintain public safety.

Oil Supply Management Discussion

In a separate meeting, Al-Khanbashi engaged with Abdulrahman Balafas, the Director General of the Yemeni Oil Company’s Coastal Branch. They reviewed the branch’s operational performance and current status.

Ensuring Fuel Availability for Eid

The discussion included an assessment of fuel supply conditions, availability, and stock stability, especially with Eid al-Fitr approaching. Ensuring that citizens have access to fuel during this festive period is a priority to avoid any supply disruptions.

Commitment to Market Stability

Governor Al-Khanbashi stressed the importance of enhancing efforts to ensure a smooth supply chain and stable markets. He called for increased oversight to prevent monopolistic practices, which will help maintain a consistent supply of fuel for citizens during Eid celebrations.

Conclusion

These discussions reflect the leadership’s commitment to improving security and ensuring essential services in Hadhramaut. By focusing on military coordination and fuel supply management, the authorities aim to foster stability and meet the needs of the community effectively.
