Member of Presidential Leadership Council Reviews Civil Service Reforms

Efforts to Enhance Administrative Efficiency

Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, recently reviewed the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance’s initiatives aimed at implementing administrative reforms at both central and local levels. This meeting took place on Sunday in the temporary capital, Aden, where Al-Mahrami discussed strategies to correct functional imbalances and improve the organizational structure of the state’s administrative apparatus.

Meeting with the Minister of Civil Service

During the meeting, Al-Mahrami met with Dr. Abdulnasser Al-Wali, the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance. They focused on enhancing the efficiency of state institutions and assessing the performance of public service units. The discussion also covered the importance of delivering services effectively and efficiently to the public.

Updates on Employee Benefits

Dr. Al-Wali provided insights into the ministry’s progress regarding allowances and settlements due to employees. He announced that these adjustments would begin with the Ministries of Education and Public Health, as well as universities, due to their significance and the number of employees involved. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ensuring fair treatment for all employees in accordance with legal and administrative procedures.

Call for Swift Action on Allowances

Al-Mahrami urged the swift completion of allowances and settlements for workers in the educational and health sectors, as well as for university faculty and staff. He emphasized the need to finalize these adjustments for other sectors and to address issues of dual employment. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of collaborative efforts with relevant ministries to implement all planned administrative reforms.

Addressing Rights of Dismissed Employees

The meeting also explored the possibility of compensating employees who were forcibly dismissed from the civil sector in previous years. Al-Mahrami highlighted the necessity of addressing this issue fairly and comprehensively, coordinating with the relevant ministries to ensure the restoration of rights for this group. He noted that doing so would contribute to their economic stability and promote principles of justice and equity within the state’s administrative framework.
