The Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Bashihab, met today in the temporary capital of Aden with Samantha Chatterjee, the Deputy Country Director of the World Food Programme. They discussed coordination and joint cooperation, focusing on ways to enhance humanitarian and relief interventions in areas affected by the repercussions of the war waged by the Houthi terrorist militias.

The meeting addressed the urgent intervention plans of the World Food Programme concerning food and relief assistance. They outlined the importance of directing emergency support to displaced families and regions impacted by the conflict.

Emphasis on Humanitarian Efforts

Dr. Bashihab emphasized the necessity of continuing urgent humanitarian interventions, especially given the difficult economic and humanitarian conditions facing the country.
