Arab Parliament President Denounces Iranian Attacks on Kuwait

Mohammed Al-Yamahi, the President of the Arab Parliament, has firmly condemned the recent Iranian aggressions targeting Kuwait. He characterized these actions as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Al-Yamahi further described the escalation of hostilities as a significant threat to the security and stability of Kuwait and the broader region.

Kuwait’s Security Integral to Arab National Security

In a statement released on Monday, Al-Yamahi emphasized, “The security of Kuwait is an integral part of the Arab national security system. Any aggression against Kuwait constitutes an attack on collective Arab security.” He reiterated the Arab Parliament’s unwavering rejection of all forms of aggression and violations that jeopardize the sovereignty, security, and stability of Arab nations.

Call for International Action and Solidarity with Kuwait

Highlighting the recurring nature of these unlawful aggressions, Al-Yamahi articulated that they pose a direct threat to regional peace and security. He called upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their legal and political responsibilities to halt such aggressions, ensuring respect for international law and the preservation of both regional and international stability.

The Arab Parliament expressed its full solidarity with Kuwait in confronting any threats to its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Al-Yamahi affirmed support for all measures Kuwait takes to protect its national security and safeguard the well-being of its citizens and residents. This statement underscores the Arab Parliament’s commitment to defending the rights and security of Arab nations against external threats.
