Today, the Presidential Decree No. (20) for the year 2025 was issued, extending the mandate of the National Committee tasked with investigating allegations of human rights violations. This extension will last for three years, beginning on August 23, 2025. Furthermore, the decree allows for additional extensions as needed, subject to a presidential decision.
The second article of the decree states that it will take effect immediately upon its publication in the official gazette. This swift implementation underscores the government’s commitment to addressing human rights concerns.
