King Salman Humanitarian Aid Center Continues Support for Displaced Persons

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has actively implemented its humanitarian projects in the provinces of Aden, Lahij, Taiz, and Socotra. The center focuses on providing drinking water for displaced individuals and distributing food baskets to the most vulnerable families.

Water Supply Initiatives in Aden and Lahij

In Aden, the center supplied potable water at six points in the Al-Firdaws (2) camp located in the Buraiqa district. Additionally, the center distributed 300 water storage containers as part of its emergency response project to secure drinking water for the displaced.

The center also provided drinking water for displaced individuals in the Tuban district of Lahij, benefiting 3,976 people. In Taiz, the project continued by supplying water through 13 points in the Al-Mu’afir district, assisting 3,480 individuals from displaced families and affected host communities.

Food Distribution Efforts in Socotra and Aden

On the food assistance front, the center distributed 2,880 food baskets in the districts of Hadibo, Qalansiyah, and Abd al-Kuri in Socotra, benefiting approximately 20,160 individuals. This distribution is part of the second phase of the emergency food intervention project in Yemen.

Furthermore, the center distributed 395 food baskets in the Al-Mansoura district of Aden, aiding 299 families, which totals 1,604 individuals, as part of the emergency response project in Yemen.

Ongoing Humanitarian Efforts

These interventions align with the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. The initiatives aim to support the Yemeni people, alleviate the suffering of displaced individuals and affected communities, enhance food security, and provide essential needs, particularly drinking water.
