Hadramut Governor Meets Saudi Ambassador

Today, Hadramut Governor Salem Al-Khanbashi met with Mohammed Saeed Al-Jaber, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen. This meeting underscored the enduring and historical relationship between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Acknowledging Continuous Support

During the meeting, Al-Khanbashi emphasized the deep-rooted brotherly ties that connect the two nations. He expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support across various sectors. He specifically thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, along with the Saudi government and people, for their significant contributions in military, security, and developmental areas, as well as humanitarian and relief efforts.

Saudi Commitment to Hadramut

In response, Ambassador Al-Jaber highlighted the unique relationship between Saudi Arabia and Hadramut. He assured that Saudi Arabia remains committed to providing comprehensive support to Yemen in political, developmental, and economic spheres. He stressed the importance of resolving issues through dialogue to achieve security, stability, and development for the Yemeni people.

Insight into the Saudi Development Program

During his visit to the headquarters of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen, Al-Khanbashi reviewed the extensive developmental efforts the program implements. These initiatives span various sectors, including education, health, energy, water, transportation, agriculture, and fisheries. The program also includes developmental projects in Hadramut and several liberated governorates.

Importance of Tailored Interventions

Engineer Hassan Al-Attas, Assistant General Supervisor of the program, provided an overview of the significance of developmental interventions tailored to meet the basic needs of citizens. He discussed how these efforts enhance infrastructure and improve service levels, presenting a comprehensive briefing on the projects executed in Hadramut.
