A significant fire erupted today in a commercial establishment on Aden Street, located in the heart of Marib, the capital of the province. The blaze engulfed the Ansam Pharmacy and part of a nearby grocery store, as well as an adjacent residential apartment. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
Civil defense teams from the provincial police quickly arrived at the scene. They successfully evacuated the pharmacy workers who were trapped by the flames and extinguished the fire before it could spread to the upper floors of the building and neighboring shops.
A source from the civil defense reported to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the fire resulted from an electrical short circuit in the pharmacy. This incident caused a massive blaze that began to spread to surrounding areas. The prompt actions of the civil defense personnel played a crucial role in controlling the situation.
The source urged citizens to adhere to safety guidelines that can help reduce fire risks. They emphasized the importance of taking preventive measures to ensure safety and security. Additionally, they encouraged the public to report any signs of fire immediately, allowing civil defense teams to respond swiftly and minimize potential losses and damages.
By staying vigilant and prepared, the community can work together to prevent future incidents and protect lives and property.
