On Monday, Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb, the Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, chaired a meeting of the Tender and Bids Committee at the ministry’s headquarters in Aden. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of projects implemented this year, particularly the second phase of the restoration of the ministry’s headquarters, which suffered damage during the conflict instigated by Houthi militias.
During the meeting, Minister Shabeeb presented a comprehensive technical report detailing the stages of the restoration project and the measures taken to ensure its successful execution. He emphasized the importance of the committee adhering to its legal powers as outlined in the Tender and Bids Law and its executive regulations.
Dr. Shabeeb also stressed the necessity of strict compliance with legal procedures when issuing tenders and conducting procurement processes. He highlighted that these measures are crucial for safeguarding public funds and enhancing transparency and accountability in the management of government projects.
This meeting underscores the ministry’s commitment to restoring its facilities while ensuring responsible governance and effective project management in Yemen.
