Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mustafa Noman, conducted a comprehensive virtual meeting with the heads of Yemen’s diplomatic missions across Africa. This gathering aimed to address pressing political and financial issues facing the embassies amid the ongoing war and Iranian aggression in the region.
The meeting included ambassadors and heads of missions from Djibouti, Somalia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Africa, and Kenya. Participants discussed the current political situation and the financial status of the missions. They shared insights on the challenges posed by regional conflicts and the impact on diplomatic operations.
During the meeting, the heads of missions presented oral reports detailing recent developments and the positions of various countries regarding the ongoing events. They also offered several observations and recommendations aimed at strengthening Yemen’s relationships with the nations where they are stationed.
Deputy Minister Noman expressed his gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the mission heads. He assured them that their observations and recommendations would be forwarded to President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for further consideration and action.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to hold these discussions regularly. This initiative aims to enhance coordination and communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its missions abroad.
The meeting also featured the presence of Ahmed Mohammed, Head of the Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
