The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) recognized Yemeni journalist Sonia Marisi during the opening ceremony of the 25th Arab Radio and Television Festival. This prestigious event took place at the ancient Carthage Theater in Tunisia, celebrating Marisi’s outstanding contributions to Yemeni media and her significant role in enhancing its content.
This honor highlights Marisi’s professional achievements and her leadership in promoting a balanced national media discourse. She has actively participated in numerous Arab media forums and conferences, where her impactful presence and voice have resonated on issues concerning her country and society.
The festival will run until June 26, featuring competitions for television and radio productions, along with specialized workshops and seminars. Various public and private media institutions from across the Arab world will participate, further solidifying the festival’s importance in the media landscape.
The festival aims to support Arab radio and television production by showcasing outstanding artistic works and programs. It also seeks to foster collaboration among Arab media institutions, providing a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing key challenges in the media sector.
The opening ceremony saw the attendance of Iskandar Al-Asbahi, the Director of the Yemeni Public Authority for Radio and Television, among other distinguished guests.
This event not only honors individual achievements but also underscores the collective efforts to advance the Arab media industry.
