The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen welcomed the statement issued by the Arab League regarding the Houthi attacks on the Yemeni government headquarters in Maasheeq Palace, Aden International Airport, and residential areas in the city of Marib. The statement clearly condemned these attacks, highlighting their severity and blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law.
In a statement, the ministry appreciated the steadfast Arab position supporting Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It also acknowledged the support for the Yemeni government and legitimate state institutions. The ministry noted the statement’s call for the international community to assume its responsibilities and take decisive actions to stop these attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
The ministry emphasized that this position reflects the depth of Arab solidarity with the Yemeni people and supports their right to restore security, stability, and national institutions. This comes amid the ongoing escalation by the Houthi terrorist militia, which undermines efforts to reach a political solution.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation for the positions of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, who supports the Republic of Yemen and condemns the Houthi escalation and threats to regional security and navigation in the Red Sea.
The ministry reiterated its gratitude for the responsible Arab stance, emphasizing the importance of the Arab League and its Secretary-General continuing their efforts to support the Yemeni government and enhance Arab assistance aimed at achieving security and stability in Yemen and the region.
