On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, reviewed the situation in Shabwa Governorate. He focused on the recent criminal attack launched by Houthi terrorist militias against a group of new recruits from various provinces across the country, resulting in several martyrs and injuries.
During a phone call with Shabwa Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir, President Alimi directed relevant authorities to provide necessary medical care for the injured and to support the families of the martyrs. He emphasized the importance of completing the procedures to settle their affairs and disburse their salaries. Furthermore, he called for decisive actions to respond to the sources of the terrorist attack.
President Alimi stated that targeting recruits reflects the Houthi militias’ tendency to resort to cowardly terrorist attacks whenever they face pressure or encounter setbacks in their destructive plans, which are supported by the Iranian regime.
The President expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished for a swift recovery for the injured. He stressed that these assaults will not deter the state from fulfilling its responsibilities to protect citizens and restore their national institutions. He assured that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain but will remain a trust that necessitates caring for their families and honoring their sacrifices.
