The United Nations announced the death and injury of 176 civilians due to renewed conflict in Yemen. This escalation began with military actions initiated by Houthi terrorist militias in several provinces since early August.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Tuesday that the United Nations Human Rights Commission verified this number of casualties between August 1 and October 5, 2026.
According to the report:
The report noted that these UN statistics are significantly lower than the figures documented by official Yemeni sources, which confirm the death and injury of more than 610 civilians during September alone.
