The national youth team commenced its journey in the Asian qualifiers with a decisive 3-1 victory over East Timor. The match took place on Wednesday at the Madiya Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
From the outset, the national team showcased its dominance on the field, overcoming challenging rainy conditions. In the 28th minute, forward Abdulaziz Al-Masnoum opened the scoring, giving the team an early lead. Al-Masnoum continued to impress, netting his second goal in the 56th minute, further solidifying the team’s advantage.
East Timor managed to narrow the gap by scoring their first goal in the 67th minute. However, the national team quickly responded. Just three minutes later, winger Abdulrahman Al-Khadr struck again, securing the team’s third goal and sealing the match with a final score of 3-1.
This victory marks the first three points for the national youth team in Group Six. The group also includes teams from East Timor, the Maldives, and Indonesia. With this win, the national team now leads the group standings, setting a strong tone for the upcoming matches in the qualifiers.
