Yemen’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Salem Balfaqih, recently met with Ahmad Muzani, the President of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly. The two officials focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between their countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Balfaqih provided an update on the current situation in Yemen. He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability. Balfaqih pointed out the challenges posed by the continuous attacks from the Houthi militia, which receives support from the Iranian regime. These actions have significant implications for the security and stability of Yemen, the region, and international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Both Balfaqih and Muzani emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and enhancing the friendship and cooperation between Yemen and Indonesia. They discussed expanding areas of collaboration to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.
