Prime Minister Visits Joint Forces Command Headquarters in Yemen

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak visited the headquarters of the Joint Forces Command for the Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen. Upon his arrival, he received a warm welcome from the Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, along with several other military leaders.

During the visit, Prime Minister bin Mubarak held a meeting with the Joint Forces leadership. The discussions focused on enhancing coordination and communication between the government and the coalition forces. They addressed critical issues related to the ongoing battle against the Houthi militia and the persistent terrorist attacks threatening international shipping and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Government Vision for Military and Security Reform

Prime Minister bin Mubarak presented the government’s vision for improving the performance of military and security institutions. He emphasized the importance of implementing reforms to establish a strong military based on professional standards. He also highlighted the necessary support from the coalition forces to achieve these goals.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the role of the coalition leadership, acknowledging the significant sacrifices made by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He commended their efforts in defending the aspirations of the Yemeni people and their legitimate government while alleviating humanitarian suffering and supporting development and reconstruction efforts in Yemen.

Key Officials in Attendance

The meeting also included the presence of the Prime Minister’s Office Director, Engineer Anis Baharitha, and the Executive Director of the Emergency Response Unit, Jamal bin Ghanem. Their participation underscored the collaborative approach between government officials and military leaders in addressing Yemen’s pressing challenges.

This visit marks a significant step in reinforcing the partnership between the Yemeni government and the coalition forces, aiming to restore stability and peace in the region.
