On Tuesday, the National Army successfully thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt on the Al-Kurayfat front, east of Taiz city. This operation led to intense clashes between the two sides. The military media of the Taiz axis confirmed that the forces repelled the attack, forcing Houthi militants to retreat.
Earlier that night, two soldiers, Wahab Ali Abdullah Al-Sabri and Yaqoub Abdu Dahan Al-Aqil, lost their lives during confrontations with the militia on the eastern front of the city. They were performing their national duty when the incident occurred.
Taiz city, under siege for over a decade, has witnessed a significant escalation in military activity from the Houthis. In recent days, the militia intensified shelling on residential neighborhoods and targeted military positions. This surge in violence has resulted in casualties among both civilians and military personnel, coinciding with ongoing military mobilizations toward the city.
The situation in Taiz remains critical as the National Army continues to defend the region against Houthi aggression. The community hopes for a swift resolution to the conflict, which has caused immense suffering over the years.
