A member of the Leadership Council, Al-Iradah, held an extensive official and public meeting in Marib.

Major Meeting in Marib: Leadership Calls for National Unity

Marib, Yemen – Today, Major General Sultan al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a significant meeting in Marib. The gathering included members from both the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, several governors, local authorities, tribal leaders, and representatives from popular resistance movements across various provinces.

A Call for National Cohesion

During the meeting, General al-Arada emphasized that Yemen stands at a critical juncture. He urged all Yemenis to strengthen national unity and solidarity. “What binds us together is our unwavering belief that Yemen cannot be defeated or extinguished,” he stated. He reassured attendees that the Yemeni people will remain resilient, serving as an unbreakable fortress against any challenges.

Overcoming Past Challenges

Al-Arada acknowledged the tough challenges and harsh conditions Yemen has faced in recent years. However, he asserted that the determination of the Yemeni people has always triumphed over attempts to disrupt and overturn the nation. He remarked, “The experiences our country has endured are not merely transient phases; they have deepened citizens’ awareness of the value of the state and the necessity of preserving its institutions.”

The Path Forward

The council member stressed the importance of focusing on the battle to reclaim state institutions from the Iran-backed Houthi militia. He called for a unified republican front and collective support for the state-building project. “The unity of national forces is the most crucial guarantee for overcoming challenges, no matter how great they may be,” he noted.

Shared Responsibility for National Defense

Al-Arada highlighted that defending the homeland and ensuring its security and stability is a shared national responsibility. This duty does not belong to any single province, party, or tribe; rather, it is a collective obligation for all Yemenis. He pointed out that while the road to victory may seem long, it remains clear for those who possess faith, determination, and a unified purpose.

Commitment to a Resilient Yemen

In closing, General al-Arada reaffirmed that Yemen will remain steadfast and proud, thanks to the efforts of its citizens across all provinces. He committed to continuing all possible efforts to build the nation, safeguard its security, uphold its dignity, and fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
