Al-Bakri emphasized the fruitful relationship and collaborative efforts between the Ministry and the NDI, which have led to successful programs in the capital, Aden, and other liberated provinces.
Al-Bakri provided an overview of the Ministry’s recent activities, which include executing a strategic plan for the youth sector, establishing training and rehabilitation centers, and enhancing youth capacities. Additionally, he mentioned the opening of development and women’s offices in several provinces. He noted that young people in Yemen aspire for peace, development, and safe spaces for education and training, away from crises and conflict.
The Minister expressed the Ministry’s eagerness to incorporate ideas and insights from the NDI to strengthen its future plans and programs. He specifically highlighted initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women, as well as training and rehabilitation programs. Al-Bakri also announced the Ministry’s intention to host a youth conference focused on peace and dialogue, open training centers in additional provinces, and actively participate in various local, Arab, and international events.
In response, Campbell commended the Ministry’s recent accomplishments and the programs planned for the future.
