In a significant meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Yemen, Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, engaged with a delegation from the World Bank. The discussions focused on a series of joint projects aimed at enhancing cooperation to tackle the challenges posed by climate change, as well as water and food security in the country.

Review of Current Conditions and Opportunities

He acknowledged their crucial role in supporting the Yemeni government’s efforts to achieve sustainable development. Furthermore, he stressed the need to enhance capacities for climate adaptation and ensure water and food security in the region.
