UN Secretary-General Congratulates Yemen on 35th National Day

On the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi received a congratulatory message from United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In his message, Guterres expressed his heartfelt congratulations, stating, “I extend my best wishes to you on the National Day of the Republic of Yemen. It brings me joy to convey my warmest regards to the people of Yemen on this special day.”

Guterres emphasized that national celebrations provide an opportunity to reflect on shared global challenges. He noted, “The international community faces an increasing list of issues that require multilateral solutions, from the climate crisis to conflicts and the growing inequalities.”

He highlighted the essence of the “Charter for the Future,” a framework adopted by the UN General Assembly last year. This initiative aims to strengthen multilateralism and promote peace, sustainable development, and human rights for all.
