The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff have paid tribute to the late Brigadier General Abdullah Mohammed Zayed, the commander of the Tank Battalion in the 137th Infantry Brigade. He lost his life during a cowardly attack on security forces in the Al-Houf district of Al-Mahra Governorate while fulfilling his national duty last Tuesday.
In their statement, military officials emphasized that Brigadier General Zayed represented one of the most dedicated officers in the armed forces. Throughout his career, he displayed remarkable bravery and commitment, leaving an indelible mark on the development of the military both academically and practically. His exemplary discipline and willingness to sacrifice for the republic’s ideals and national achievements set a high standard for all.
The statement also praised the vigilance and sacrifices of the army and security forces in their constitutional and national duties aimed at restoring peace and stability. The Ministry expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the fallen hero, Brigadier General Zayed, as well as to his comrades in the armed forces. They also wished a swift recovery to the brave individuals injured in the attack.
Furthermore, the armed forces reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating with security agencies to track down those responsible for this heinous crime. They pledged to ensure that the perpetrators face justice in a court of law.
