Minister Praises Arrangements for National Day Event

Yemen’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Al-Ashwal, expressed strong support for the ongoing preparations for the Republic of Yemen’s National Day at Expo 2025. This significant event is set to take place on May 28 in Osaka, Japan.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

During a virtual meeting with Japan’s Ambassador to Yemen, Nakashima Yuichi, Minister Al-Ashwal congratulated Japan on the successful hosting of Expo 2025, marking its third occurrence. He highlighted Japan’s unwavering support for Yemen’s participation in the expo and emphasized the importance of the strong bilateral relations between the two nations.

Showcasing Yemen’s Rich Heritage

Al-Ashwal detailed that preparations for Yemen’s National Day are progressing rapidly. The event will showcase Yemen’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dances, vibrant costumes, and intricate designs that reflect the country’s deep-rooted history. Attendees can expect to see stunning displays of Yemeni craftsmanship, including decorative motifs and ancient scripts, all designed to highlight Yemen’s artistic legacy.

A Platform for Economic and Cultural Collaboration

The minister underscored that the expo presents an invaluable opportunity to enhance Yemen’s global image. It aims to build new economic and cultural bridges between Yemen and the international community. Al-Ashwal believes this event will serve as a powerful message about Yemen’s cultural significance and its potential as a leading tourist and investment destination in the Middle East.

Ambassador’s Congratulations and Support

Ambassador Nakashima congratulated Yemen on the 35th anniversary of its unity on May 22. He expressed his wishes for peace, security, and prosperity for Yemen. The ambassador praised the strong ties between Japan and Yemen and acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in ensuring Yemen’s successful participation in Expo 2025. He noted that this participation would enhance Yemen’s cultural and tourism profile on both regional and international stages, reinforcing its role as a strong advocate for peace and cultural exchange among nations.
