The Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Anwar Al-Mahri, chaired the regular meeting of the Council of Deans of Yemeni Community Colleges today. Admission and Registration Procedures Discussed

During the meeting, which included the Executive Chairman of the Supreme Council of Community Colleges, Dr. Abdullah Al-Haj, participants discussed the admission and registration procedures for the new academic year in community colleges across the provinces. The council approved unified executive regulations for admission to the Bachelor’s program in supplementary technical education at both public and private colleges. Additionally, they reviewed the main challenges facing the educational process and explored solutions.

Emphasis on Quality and Market Needs

Minister Al-Mahri emphasized the importance of standardizing academic and administrative procedures. He stated that this approach would contribute to improving the quality of technical and vocational education. Furthermore, he highlighted the need to develop educational programs that meet labor market demands and prepare qualified personnel to contribute to development efforts.

Training Program Launched for Inspection Directors

In a related development, Minister Al-Mahri launched a training program for the directors of inspection departments at the Technical Education and Vocational Training offices in the liberated provinces. This initiative, organized by the Standards and Quality Sector, aims to prepare the ministry for the upcoming training year 2026/2027.

During a virtual meeting with inspection directors, participants discussed the mechanisms for implementing the unified inspection guide and standardizing oversight and inspection procedures. They also reviewed the main field challenges encountered.
