Minister of Transport, Mohsen Al-Omari, met today in the temporary capital of Aden with leaders from various sectors of the ministry. They discussed joint coordination efforts and monitored the conditions across different transport sectors to ensure the continued provision of services and enhance readiness to address emerging developments.
Minister Al-Omari highlighted the current phase, emphasizing the challenges and threats facing the transport sectors. He stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and integration among the ministry’s sectors. Furthermore, he called for raising the level of preparedness and responding responsibly to various developments and changes.
The Minister underscored the necessity of adhering to the directives and guidelines issued by the ministry’s leadership. These instructions apply to all facilities, institutions, and agencies under its purview. He urged continuous efforts to enhance readiness, ensuring the smooth flow of transport and securing the supply chain.
Al-Omari directed the preparation of emergency plans and the updating of databases and information. This approach will enable the ministry to take appropriate actions and respond effectively to any emergency events.
The Minister listened to sector leaders as they provided clarifications regarding the overall situation, the progress of work, and the main challenges and needs. They also discussed efforts to improve performance, enhance coordination, and the procedures followed to implement directives, as well as monitoring the activities and tasks assigned to each sector.
