The Minister of Information stated that Abdulmalik al-Houthi is merely a puppet of the Revolutionary Guard, executing Iran’s plan to destroy Yemen.

Houthi Leader Accused of Being Iranian Puppet

Minister’s Strong Statements on Houthi Leadership

Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, has labeled Houthi leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi as a mere “puppet” executing the agenda of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Al-Eryani emphasized that the decisions made within the Houthi militia do not stem from national interests but are direct extensions of Tehran’s directives and its expansionist project in the region.

Houthi Actions Serve Iranian Interests

In a recent press statement, Al-Eryani asserted that Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, who claims to lead a “revolution,” merely serves as a tool for Tehran. He accused the Houthi leader of using violence to further Iran’s destructive goals and threaten international interests. Al-Eryani pointed out that the Yemeni people pay a heavy price for this dubious role, suffering loss of life, resources, and national sovereignty.

Destruction and Displacement Since 2014

Al-Eryani highlighted that every action taken by the Houthi militia since its coup against the Yemeni state in 2014 has benefited Iran. This includes the invasion of cities, the destruction of state institutions, the erasure of national identity, and the killing of civilians. He also mentioned the displacement of millions, the planting of landmines, and the militarization of education, which indoctrinates children with the concept of “guardianship.” Furthermore, he noted the ongoing threats to international shipping.

False Claims of Resistance

The minister dismissed the Houthis’ claims of “resistance” or “support for Gaza” as mere false slogans. He argued that these statements conceal a clear Iranian mandate to destroy Yemen and turn it into a platform for threatening its neighbors, particularly in the Gulf region.

Concerns Over Houthi Leader’s Disappearance

Al-Eryani expressed concern over Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi’s prolonged absence from public view. He noted that the militia leader, who sends thousands of misled individuals to their deaths, has not appeared in any direct meetings, public events, or even live video recordings for nearly a decade. Al-Eryani questioned whether Al-Houthi remains hidden in caves in Saada, has been moved to Iran, or is simply a façade lacking the freedom to appear.

A Leader Lacking Trust

Describing Al-Houthi as a “self-proclaimed leader,” Al-Eryani stated that he does not even trust his closest associates. For the past ten years, Al-Houthi has relied on pre-recorded speeches broadcast during sectarian and military events while continuing to send children and teenagers to fight in futile battles that serve only Iranian interests.

Evidence of Iranian Control

Al-Eryani concluded that Al-Houthi’s continued disappearance indicates he is merely an executing tool without decision-making power. He asserted that everything attributed to Al-Houthi is orchestrated in Tehran, with actions on the ground driven by Iranian calculations that disregard Yemen’s true needs and the interests of its people.

A Call to Recognize the True Nature of the Conflict

In closing, Al-Eryani stressed that the situation has escalated beyond a mere militia rebellion. He characterized it as “Persian occupation under a local guise,” aimed at dominating Yemen while cloaking its expansionist agenda in a series of lies and misleading slogans.
