The legal team supporting the Leadership Council held its first meeting in Aden.

The legal support team for the Presidential Leadership Council convened its inaugural meeting today, Saturday, in the temporary capital of Aden. The meeting took place under the leadership of Chief Justice Hamoud Al-Hattar.

Agenda Focused on Future Action Plan

This three-day meeting aims to discuss the team’s work plan for the upcoming phase. Key topics include activating support mechanisms for the Presidential Leadership Council as outlined in the power transfer announcement. Additionally, the agenda covers various pressing issues that require the team’s attention.

Emphasizing the Role of the Legal Team

During the meeting, Chief Justice Hamoud Al-Hattar underscored the vital role the team plays during this transitional period. He emphasized the need for the legal support team to provide legal assistance as a presidential body that commands the trust and respect of both political leadership and the international community.

Al-Hattar stressed the importance of adhering to the constitution and the transitional references.
