The Yemeni Airlines Board approves the estimated budget for the company for the upcoming year 2025.

Yemenia Airlines Board Approves 2025 Budget

The Board of Directors of Yemenia Airlines convened for its fourth regular meeting of 2024 in Cairo, Egypt, where it approved the company’s estimated budget for the upcoming year, 2025. This decision followed a thorough review and discussion of the proposed budget.

Current Challenges Facing Yemenia Airlines

Captain Nasser Mahmoud, Chairman of Yemenia Airlines, presented an overview of the company’s current situation. He highlighted the ongoing challenges posed by the continued detention of the airline’s aircraft and financial assets in Sana’a. Captain Mahmoud emphasized the urgent need to enhance the airline’s fleet by acquiring modern aircraft. This expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for existing routes and to facilitate the launch of new destinations.

Commitment to Fleet Expansion and Service Improvement

The Board reiterated its commitment to support the airline’s efforts to expand its fleet and introduce new routes. This initiative aims to boost revenue and ensure the continued operation of Yemenia Airlines, which serves as the national carrier for the Yemeni people across the country.

Mourning the Loss of Board Member

The Board of Directors, represented by Captain Nasser Mahmoud, Executive Board Member Dr. Omar Jafri, and other council members, expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Board Member Mohammed Khaled Naaman. He passed away earlier this month in December. The Board praised his contributions during his years of service and extended heartfelt condolences to his family, praying for his eternal peace and comfort for his loved ones.

This meeting underscores Yemenia Airlines’ strategic focus on overcoming challenges and enhancing its services to better serve the Yemeni population.
