The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza has led to a staggering increase in casualties since October 7, 2023. As of today, the death toll has reached 57,012, with injuries reported at 134,592.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported today that hospitals received 142 new martyrs in the past 24 hours. Among these, three bodies were recovered. Additionally, medical facilities treated 487 injured individuals. The ministry noted that 223 martyrs have been added to the cumulative statistics after their data was verified and approved by the judicial committee overseeing notifications and missing persons.
Since March 18, the number of casualties has risen significantly, with 6,454 martyrs and 22,551 injuries recorded. The ministry highlighted that, in the last 24 hours alone, hospitals received 39 martyrs from aid-related incidents, along with over 210 injuries. This brings the total number of martyrs from “livelihood-related” incidents to 640, with more than 4,488 individuals injured.
The situation in Gaza remains critical as the conflict continues to escalate. The rising number of casualties underscores the urgent need for humanitarian assistance and a resolution to the ongoing violence.
