Residents of Taiz Governorate held a funeral today for 18 martyrs, most of whom were civilians. Among the deceased were the martyr Moshira and her father, who lost their lives due to shelling by Houthi militias, supported by the Iranian regime, that struck their home in Jabal Saber.
The funeral prayer for the martyrs took place at Al-Saeed Mosque in Taiz City. The event drew a large crowd, including Governor Nabil Shamsan, local officials, military and security leaders, popular resistance commanders, political party heads, and various social figures.
During the funeral, Governor Nabil Shamsan expressed his condolences for the martyrs’ souls. He prayed for God’s mercy and forgiveness for them and offered his wishes for patience and solace to their families. He also wished for a swift recovery for the injured.
Shamsan reaffirmed the steadfastness of the people of Taiz in confronting what he termed Houthi arrogance. He emphasized that these crimes would only strengthen the resolve of the residents to continue their national struggle until the complete liberation of the governorate and the breaking of the siege imposed by Houthi militias.
