On Wednesday, Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, visited the Yemeni Embassy in Doha to review the automated passport issuance process. This visit coincided with his participation in the International Exhibition for Internal Security and Safety.
During his visit, Minister Haidan met with the Yemeni Ambassador to Qatar, Rajeh Badi. They discussed the challenges faced by the passport issuance department and explored strategies to overcome these obstacles. The goal is to enhance services for Yemeni expatriates and expedite the application process, thereby reducing the burden on those seeking passports.
Minister Haidan praised the dedication of the embassy staff and the passport department employees. He recognized their commitment to providing consular services to Yemenis residing in Qatar. Their hard work plays a crucial role in ensuring that expatriates receive timely assistance.
The Minister’s visit included key officials, such as Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Shabaan, Head of the Civil Defense Authority, and Brigadier Abdul Jabbar Salem, Deputy Head of the Immigration and Passports Authority. Additionally, Captain Saleh Basmeer, Deputy Director of the Minister’s Office, accompanied the Minister during this important visit.
This inspection underscores the Yemeni government’s commitment to improving the efficiency of its consular services abroad. By addressing challenges and enhancing service delivery, the embassy aims to better serve the needs of its citizens in Qatar.
