Public Health Office in Marib Reports Successful Polio Vaccination Campaign

The Public Health and Population Office in Marib has announced the successful completion of its first emergency polio vaccination campaign. The campaign achieved an impressive coverage rate of 105% among the targeted children in the province.

Vaccination Statistics

According to a statistical report received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the campaign vaccinated 123,390 children under the age of five. This figure exceeds the initial target of 110,000 children by 5%. The campaign took place from July 12 to July 14 and was extended by an additional day to ensure comprehensive coverage, especially in rapidly expanding urban areas, villages, and displacement camps.

Outreach Efforts

The report highlights that mobile vaccination teams visited approximately 73,998 homes during the campaign. This number represents a 1.5% increase over the targeted goal of 72,900 homes. The teams worked diligently to reach every household, ensuring that no child was left unvaccinated.
