### European Union Emphasizes Importance of Peace in Yemen

The European Union (EU) has reaffirmed that achieving peace and stability in Yemen is crucial for the security of the Gulf and Red Sea regions. The EU expressed its commitment to supporting the Yemeni people and collaborating with the United Nations, as well as regional and international partners, to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive and sustainable peace involving all parties.

### European Condemnation of Houthi Attacks

A spokesperson for the European Union stated that the Houthi attacks represent a serious escalation. These actions violate international law, undermine regional security and stability, and threaten to derail efforts aimed at finding a political solution to the conflict in Yemen.

The EU strongly condemned the recent assaults carried out by Houthi militias against Saudi Arabia. These attacks targeted civilian and economic facilities in the southern part of the kingdom, resulting in injuries to 73 civilians, including women and children. The EU emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure is unacceptable.

### Call for Cessation of Attacks and Compliance with Security Council Resolutions

The European Union urged Houthi militias to immediately halt all attacks both within Yemen and beyond, including those targeting commercial navigation in the Red Sea. The EU also called for compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2722 of 2024 and 2826 of 2026.
