In a meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Deputy Minister of Local Administration Moein Mahmoud engaged with the technical committee responsible for preparing the ministry’s budget for the fiscal year 2026. The discussion focused on the progress made and the indicative budget ceilings, referencing Ministerial Decision No. (6) for the year 2025.
Deputy Minister Mahmoud emphasized the necessity of completing the final budget. He stressed the importance of including all items according to the financial and economic classifications. This process aligns with Circular No. (1) for the preparation of the state budget for 2025, along with all relevant decisions and legislations.
The meeting addressed several critical aspects of public spending. These included the integration and stabilization of contractors within job positions, as well as enhancing the ministry’s infrastructure through operational expenses and electronic systems. Additionally, the committee discussed the provision of a solar energy system to reduce fuel costs and consumption.
The discussions aim to ensure a comprehensive and efficient budget that meets the needs of the ministry while promoting sustainability. The Deputy Minister’s proactive approach highlights the commitment to improving local administration and public service delivery.
