Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari met with British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, to discuss the current military and security situation in Yemen. This meeting highlights the ongoing collaboration between Yemen and the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Daari praised the strong bilateral relations between the two nations. He expressed a desire to enhance cooperation, particularly in training and preparing Yemeni military personnel. Lieutenant General Al-Daari also addressed the recent escalations by the Houthi militia. He noted their increased mobilization across various fronts and their attacks on military positions. The Minister emphasized that achieving stability and peace in Yemen hinges on strengthening the armed forces. These factors are crucial for Yemen’s future stability.
The meeting included key figures such as Major General Abdul Hakim Al-Shaibi, Director of the Minister of Defense’s Office, and Colonel Yahya Al-Wail, the military attaché at the Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh. Their presence highlights the importance of this dialogue in shaping Yemen’s military strategy and international partnerships.
