Minister of State Discusses Stability Efforts in Aden

On Wednesday, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, met with Gabriel Monera Vinyals, the Head of the European Union Mission in Yemen, along with ambassadors from France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The meeting focused on the current situation in Aden and the ongoing efforts to enhance stability and improve essential services in the city.

Economic Challenges and Local-International Cooperation

During the meeting, which also included the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Badr Ma’oun, Minister Lamlas emphasized the urgent need for both local and international collaboration to address the current economic challenges. He highlighted the importance of providing economic and financial support to the government and local authorities to mitigate the effects of the crisis.

Lamlas stated that achieving economic stability is a crucial step toward improving living conditions for residents in Aden and other regions.

EU Ambassadors Reaffirm Support for Aden

The ambassadors from the European Union reiterated their commitment to supporting stability in Aden. They praised the local authorities for their efforts to enhance living conditions and promote development in the area.

The ambassadors expressed their countries’ dedication to continuing cooperation and partnership with the Presidential Leadership Council and the government. They emphasized the need to strengthen economic reforms and ensure that international support reaches developmental and humanitarian projects.

Attendees and Collaborative Efforts

The meeting also included Intisar Murshid, the Director General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, along with several other officials. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts aimed at fostering stability and prosperity in Aden.

This dialogue marks a significant step toward addressing the pressing issues facing the city and highlights the importance of international partnerships in achieving long-term solutions.
