The Chief of General Staff and Joint Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, praised the sacrifices made by leaders and heroes of the army in the First Military Region. He highlighted their crucial role in maintaining stability, ensuring security, protecting vital interests, and combating terrorism and smuggling. His remarks came during an extensive meeting with the leadership of the First Military Region in Sayoun, Hadramaut, as reported by the Armed Forces Media Center.
During the meeting, General bin Aziz congratulated the newly appointed leaders on earning the trust of the command with their new responsibilities. He wished them success and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by their predecessors. He acknowledged their efforts during the challenging circumstances the country faces and encouraged the new leaders to excel in their assigned tasks.
General bin Aziz reaffirmed that the armed forces will continue to serve as a model of discipline and organization. He emphasized adherence to high-level decisions and compliance with the constitution, laws, and regulations. He underscored the military’s duty to restore the state and protect its achievements and principles. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of unity and cohesion within the armed forces as a robust sovereign institution that embodies national unity.
The General listened to briefings from the region’s leadership and unit commanders regarding the operational and field situation. He stressed the need to enhance vigilance, readiness, and cooperation among military and security forces to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Chief of General Staff honored Major General Saleh Taimas and Brigadier General Yahya Abu Aujah. This recognition acknowledged their contributions and sacrifices in building and modernizing the armed forces.
Additionally, General bin Aziz visited the joint forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Sayoun. He expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by coalition partners and their supportive stance alongside Yemen. Their assistance has been crucial in supporting and backing the Yemeni army.
The meeting and subsequent activities highlight the commitment of the Yemeni military leadership to uphold national security and foster unity among forces.
