President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, praised the swift response from the leadership of the Joint Forces of the Coalition supporting legitimacy. This response came after his urgent request for immediate actions to protect civilians in Hadhramaut Governorate, following recommendations from the National Defense Council.
In a post on the social media platform X, President Alimi emphasized that this initiative represents a crucial step toward restoring security and stability in Yemen. He highlighted its significance in preserving public peace and the legal status of the Republic of Yemen. Furthermore, he expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in this regard.
President Alimi urged the Southern Transitional Council to respond promptly to these efforts. He called for their withdrawal from Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra Governorates and the transfer of military camps to the National Shield Forces and local authorities. This action aims to maintain national unity and prioritize the country’s supreme interests.
The President’s statements reflect a commitment to enhancing security and stability in Yemen. As the situation evolves, the collaboration between local and coalition forces will be vital in achieving lasting peace in the region.
