In a significant boost to vocational education in Hadhramaut Valley, the Sayun Vocational and Industrial Institute has recently been equipped with modern devices and equipment, courtesy of the Al-Awn Foundation for Development through its implementing partner, the Hadhramaut Foundation for Human Development.
During a visit to the institute, Amer Al-Ameri, the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Directorates, along with Mahboub Faraj, the Director of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Hadhramaut Valley and Desert, were briefed by specialists at the institute about the capabilities of the new equipment. This state-of-the-art technology, which includes devices for testing and diagnosing modern electric diesel injectors, identifying faults in nozzles, and diesel pump inspection, marks a significant upgrade for the institute. It is the first of its kind in Hadhramaut Valley and is expected to bring a qualitative leap in the institute’s curriculum, aligning it with the latest developments in vehicle manufacturing across various sizes.
Al-Ameri emphasized the local authority’s dedication to continuing efforts aimed at enhancing the infrastructure for technical education, which is considered a pillar of development in all countries and a reliable source of decent livelihood. He also appreciated the collaborative activities undertaken by the local authority and both the Al-Awn and Hadhramaut Foundations for Human Development, highlighting their benefits to the local community.
This initiative not only represents a significant advancement in technical and vocational education in the region but also underscores the collaborative efforts between local authorities and development organizations to foster community development and skill enhancement for the youth.
